Pulsar dBi Intelligent Transducers
dBi HART Transducer Series (4-20mA loop powered)
The Pulsar dBi HART Transducer Series is a range of self-contained, intelligent non-contacting ultrasonic level measurement transducers that make use of HART communication protocols to make plant integration simple. Four range choices are available with either 10ft, 20ft, 33ft, or 49ft range (3m, 6m, 10m, or 15m).dBi Profibus PA Transducer Series
The Pulsar dBi Profibus PA Transducer Series is a range of self-contained, intelligent non-contacting ultrasonic level measurement transducers that make use of Profibus PA communication protocols. Four range choices are available with either 10ft, 20ft, 33ft, or 49ft range (3m, 6m, 10m, or 15m).All Pulsar dBi Intelligent Transducers take simplicity, convenience, and accuracy to a new level.

Simple, 2-wire accurate ultrasonic level measurement
dBi HART Transducers can be specified in various formats to suit the application, for example flanged, PTFE coated for corrosive applications, fitted with foam face or submergence shield and with threaded noses for easy installation.
Accurate level measurement
dBi HART Transducers signal level measurement either via 4-20mA proportional to the measured value or using the HART protocol, modulated tones on the 4-20mA (1200/2200Hz). dBi HART Transducers with Version 7 protocol offer increased accuracy due to temperature compensation. dBi HART Transducers can also be used to convert your level to volume, with their inbuilt library of typical tank shapes or using their ability to use a 16-point curve fit for non-standard shapes. The output from the unit can represent distance, level, space or volume depending on your requirements.
Programming dBi HART Transducers
Pulsar's dBi HART Transducers can be programmed as stand-alone devices using a hand-held calibrator or as low-power measuring devices, using HART as the mechanism for data collection, via Pulsar's PC interface called dBi HART PC. This PC interface can found within Pulsar's PC Software Suite (free to download however a security dongle is required for operation).
Pulsar now offer a Device Type Manager (DTM) which supports Pulsar devices with the HART protocol. By using the DTM, users are able to communicate with the dBi HART Transducers using FDT framework applications such as PACTware. The universal and common practice commands of the HART protocol 7 are supported and the user is able to set parameters, view a diagnostic echo trace, view measured-value information displays, have trend graph function capability, calibrate the device and print out the parameter of values - all in one convenient place. This software is free to download and is available here.
DATEM Echo Processing
Pulsar's dBi Transducer Series with HART communication protocol features Pulsar's world-leading DATEM echo processing software. DATEM, Digital Adaptive Tracking of Echo Movement, allows the system to zero in on the echo from true target and follow it as it moves up and down the vessel, ignoring the stationary echoes from other elements in the measurement path. Pulsar's HART dBi Transducer Series give reliable and accurate measurement in applications where other manufacturer's equipment would not work.
